The Skreen is a beautiful country home which has just been refurbished to a very high standard set in the Heart of Mid Wales close to the Brecon Beacons National Park, 12 miles from Hay on Wye, 7 miles from Builth Wells and 14 miles to Brecon. The house is set within 6 acres of private landscaped gardens overlooking the Wye Valley and The Black Mountains and a further 40 acres of hillside and woods offering total privacy
My name is Julie and I share my home with my partner David. We relocated just over a year ago and feel extremely lucky and privileged living in our 400 year old country home located in the Wye Valley, Mid Wales overlooking the Black Mountains and close to the Brecon Beacons.
We offer 4 newly refurbished King and Double luxury rooms all with there own large en-suite bathrooms.
Parking is plentiful with spaces for at least 8 cars.
Full English Breakfast is included, our produce locally sourced where possible and/or if preferred various cereals, toast, jam, marmalade, fresh juice, tea, coffee all laid out in the comfortable dining room complete with a large log burning fire.
We enjoy travelling, all types of music, keeping fit, walking, horse riding, shooting, socialising, and eating out.
We love meeting new people from different parts of the country/world.
All our rooms are individually themed and have names inspired from the trees in the gardens. Each room has fabulous views, there is no light pollution and you can breathe the freshest air. From the property you can view stunning sunrises and awesome stargazing night skies.
You’ll also have access to our delightful 6 acre garden area where you can sit, relax, unwind and enjoy a glass of wine or beer.
